will my psu burn

hey guys i bought a EVGA 8400gs and i cheaked my psu and it was only 262 watts but the video card needs 300 watts will anything happen to my computer ecause i was watching a video onyoutue and he said that ecause of a bad power supply he saw spartks and his house almost went on fire now im scared that this will happen to me

my specs are intel i3 2120
8GB RAM DDR3
and its a hp 2124

PLEASE REPLY FAST BECASUE I MIGHT NEED TO RETURN THE CARD

you are on the limits.8400gs draws 120-130watts when it is load and i3 2121 about 70-80watts.that means that you will be in the limits,cause you will use 220wattin a 260watt psu and it might be dangerous.and dont forget to check if you have a reliable psu,cause i had a 450w psu with q6600 and 9800gtx and itit got burned(smoke all over the room)cause it wasnt reliable

Your PSU will be running maxed out all the time nearly. this isn't a good idea especially with low quality PSU's because they can damage the rest of the system if they burn out. I would suggest a new psu

i mean that it will be very risky because you will max out the psu.sorry but i wouldnt do such thing..you should buy a 450-500 watt for about 35-50$.
