I have an Ace 750w power supply and i just recently bought a gigabyte g1 gaming gtx 1070.
Upon installing it, i found that i didnt have the correct 8 pin power cable from my PSU. I have installed a molex to 8 pin adapter. The power light on the GPU sometimes flashes when playing on demanding games like Rust and ARK. The flashing light apparently means 'abnormal power supply'.
I would please like to know if my GPU could be damaged by this, thanks.

I'd say swap out your PSU for a more reliable brand such as EVGA/Corsair as soon as possible. The PSU is the heart of your system and you should never cheap out on it or else you risk hardware damage especially when using adapters.
