It's not just the GPU, could fry the MB along with it.

I wouldn't use it, don't plug in the GPU until you get a new one.

Chances are very good it will waste your GPU/PC, one of the very worst quality PSU on the market.

Here is one here, quality unit and not too expensive.

Yes! That power supply should be more than enough to run your GPU as it uses up to 200-230 watts while gaming. Also, good choice on the PSU as it is power sufficient and leaves room for future upgrading!

Good Luck!

Well, how old is it?

It only puts out 42A on the 12V rail.... That makes it about a ~ 500w PSU really. That's if it can actually put out 500W, that model really isn't a very good quality unit.

I would recommend replacing it with a higher quality unit before using that new RX 580.

You can chance it, but just had a member fry their whole machine using one of those a few days ago.

And that was a GTX 1070, pulls less than a RX 580.. And a higher wattage unit than you have.

So you can roll the dice if you want.

What's the probabilty of the psu breaking down the gpu ? Because I don't think I can afford a new psu in the next few months

Btw my daddy gave me this psu like 1 or 2 months ago, it's pretty new, still a bad thing ? Or as it's new could handle it until my upgrade ?

Which one is better bro this one

CORSAIR VS600 80PLUS WHITE PFC ATIVO 600W, CP-9020119-LA

or this one

CORSAIR CX SERIES CX550 80 PLUS BRONZE 550W PFC ATIVO, CP-9020121-WW

They have the same price

Or I could still get this one but only if it is worth it for real

Corsair 550W 80 Plus Bronze Semi Modular CX550M - CP-9020102

Because this last one is 1/3 more expensive

Which of the three is good for my settings and won`t give me any problem ?

The first and second are both the same price so I could go for them with no problem, the third one is more expensive than the first two of them

Neither one really.

The 1st one isn't made for your type of computer, it's a basic workstation PSU, office computer.

The 2nd one is complete garage, just as bad as what you have now, lots of issues with those.

The one I linked is the one to get.

The only one worth buying that is reasonable price wise.
