Will my PSU survive my new upgrades?

So, upon learning a bit more about PCs, I discovered my budget build wasn't quite what I was hoping for. This was quite some time ago, and with a new job, I'll be upgrading. Here's the current rig (after a GPU upgrade):

AMD FX-4100 3.6GHz quad core
AMD Radeon HD 7970 3gb (used to be gt 630, I know, lol)
Asus m5a78l-m lx plus
700w Apevia PSU
8gb DDR3 Hyper
500gb Toshiba HDD + 268gb Crucial SSD

So that is my current rig as I'm telling you this, and this is my planned rig that I hope to upgrade with my W-2. lol

AMD FX-8350 4.2GHz 8 core
X-fire 2xRadeon 7970 3gb
MSI 970A-G46 AM3+ USB 3.0 ATX AMD
Same PSU (the one in question) 700w Apevia
8gb DDR3 Hyper
500gb Toshiba HDD + 268gb Crucial SSD (possible TB HDD to come)

So as the question states, with this hefty (almost)$500 upgrade, will this power supply be enough to support it? Newegg calculator says it will need 850w recommended, but cooler master says 450w (brand matters, of course). It's going to be plenty of time before I upgrade to this, and I appreciate any input. :)

Solution
Since your PSU is an apevia then you will absolutely need a new PSU. Apevia is a low low end brand and I would be amazed if that psu can even output 500 watts. Newegg over-stats power by a good margin. For 2 7970s I would look at a 750w 80 plus gold unit by Seasonic, XFX, Antec, EVGA (not NEX), or rosewill capstone, if you can get a good price on an 850 then by all means go for the 850.

If you are putting the money into a completely new build an i5 even the slower ones like a 4460 will be noticeably better then an fx series cpu.

I know you already have a 7970 card, but one gtx 970 would be faster then x-fire the 2 7970s. You would only need a quality 600w for that.

Get yourself a 1000W psu. Just do yourself a favor. You will use this power supply over and over again through your builds. I compare it to your monitor. You have it and your not going to buy a new one until it breaks or something really good comes out. Better to have enough power than to little. They have really come down in price and you can get one for well UNDER $500.

NO! Apevia sells PSU-shaped objects, that are unfit for purpose and tend to melt or burn in competent technical reviews. You've got that one working hard enough as it is.
You've got some other issues with your proposed upgrade. The MSI 970A-G46 appears on https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AgN1D79Joo7tdE9xMUFlMEVWeFhuckJEVF9aMmtpUFE&gid=0 as being inappropriate for 8-core CPUs. It also lacks PCIe x16 slots suitable for Crossfire; you'll want a 990X or 990FX board for Crossfire. You'll want a quality 650W-750W PSU for your Crossfire, such as Seasonic (their own, XFX, EVGA GS, some Antec) or Super Flower (Rosewill Capstone, EVGA G2 and B2, Kingwin Lazer).
As capable for 1920x1080 as the HD7970 is, you might spend your money on an i3 or i5 system instead. If you're not interested in overclocking, get a H97 board. If you are, get Z97, even if you can then only initially afford an i3. Remember that replacing a motherboard typically (though not always) requires a new Windows license.

I'll look into an intel upgrade, since I'm pretty much changing all components anyway, but 500 is my limit. I'll check it out. Thanks for the reply.
