I have been told that getting the rx 480 will enable me to play the newest AAA titles at a high setting, i just wanted to check it will be compatible with my rig without having to upgrade my other components, these are my specs:

-CPU: Intel Core 15-3450 3.10GHz, 4 cores, 4 logical processors
-Mother Board: Acer Predator G3620
-RAM: 8.00GB Dual Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz
-GPU: 1535MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 645
-PSU: FSP Non-modular 500W Power Supply (Bronze 80 Plus Certified)

Thanks.

Based on the information we have right now, yes, it should be fine, but wait for it to be tested before making a decision.

I highly recommend that you upgrade the PSU. The vast majority of FSP PSUs are crap and as yours is non-modular, it probably is. The PSU tier list will tell you what to go for; www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html.

I opened up the case to try and find the 6 pin, but couldn't find something that looked like one (but to be honest im not exactly sure where i should be looking). The PSU is FSP500-70EP, if you could point me in the right direction

The end of the cable looks like this (might not be black connector, could be white or clear)
