Got Ryzen 5 2600x rx5700xt and 16g 3200 ram. My full set up are on several of my threads. Looking at this dell with 155hz and 2k. Will my pc handle this? Has freesync too for £300.
Thanks 😀
Thanks 😀
2600x shouldn't be overworked but it's IPC wouldn't give full utilisation of the 5700 in 1080p if frame rates are expected to be 120+ in modern games. Cpu sets the fps cap, it's whatever amount it is able to pre-render for the gpu. In cpu intensive games IPC is important to get the game code done plus sustain frame rates.
5700 is bit below a 1080Ti so can roughly compare fps ability from 2600x. See benchmarks, test gpu 1080Ti.
How Does the GTX 1080 Ti Stack Up in 2019?
This is a straightforward comparison pitting the previous generation GeForce flagship, the GTX 1080 Ti head to head against the RTX 2070 Super and RX 5700 XT...www.techspot.com
So the higher Hz will reduce FPS ? Which would be better on my CPU? Bit 144/155 is the sweet spot. Also if it's 155 for 2k will it be higher or same for 1080?2600x + 5700 will do more than 75fps so you'll notice a difference. Don't bother with 255Hz unless play esports games where cpu isn't as demanding allowing for more fps.
A few days back I was playing NFS Payback on Windowed mode with R5 1600 and a GTX 1050ti and CPU was hitting about 60 percent usage, resolution was 1/5 to of 1080p as measure in screen size as game doesn't report resolution in windowed mode. I think 155hz will be achievable if you overclock your 2600Got Ryzen 5 2600x rx5700xt and 16g 3200 ram. My full set up are on several of my threads. Looking at this dell with 155hz and 2k. Hz doesn't reduce fps. Monitor Hz (refresh rate) determines how many frames are shown on screen. It's the cpu's job to deliver those frames to the gpu to be put on screen. 2600x is capable of producing around 120fps before it tops out in 1080p.
Go with the 1440p monitor and don't use antialiasing. Frame rates should be pretty good.
Anti aliasing is reqd if your monitor is 1440p and game is rendered in same resolution. If monitor is in lower resolution like 720p and rendering in 1440p then anti sliding isn't reqdNo worries.
At 1440p, don't need antialiasing as much compared to 1080p. Depends on screen size. 27" screen i have i never use aa in 1440p.

Games made till 2k17 will give aa but later games may give fps dips below 60Thanks guys yeah I need aa on my 1080 all the time never had a 2k one but makes sense. One I'm looking at is 27' too.
