will my system run new games in general on max settings ?

Which resolution and monitor size you got ? I think that you will able too play on medium-high settings in the best case and depending on the game.

is it possible to still get massive pc performance upgrades like we did between 1998 and say 2008.. when you moved from system to system noticing what you had paid for immediately? or are upgrades just small noticable differences these days? i have read around review sites and cannot seem to find anything that makes me think i must have that..

In these days you will notice upgrades but no as much as the past years but that in my opinion it depends on your pocket your need and so on.

Seriously if u can keep your system a year and then change , it would be great.

I think intensive games such as BF4 and crysis 3 you would be using med/low settings.

Without antialiasing getting 30 fps on medium settings would be great 😀

if u want a reference i got a friend and he is playin´ on i3 2130 with a 660 oc on high-ultra without aa at 20-30fps
