I recently completed a build and successfully installed my os and other softwares to my new rig. However, after 2 weeks of no use, my pc suddenly just wont turn on. I step by step identify the problem.

1st i thought that the PSU was defective but then i tried to self test it and even tried attaching a fan to it and used paper clip to short it out to manually start it and both trials went fine. So psu was not defective.

2nd i connected my psu to my motherboard and the power switch of my case to it (still with attached fan to the power supply) and tried clicking the start button on my case but it did not start up. So I thought that my case switch was the defective one.

3rd I tried to short out my motherboard front i/o headers by using screwdriver to manually start it up but nothing happened. I also tried pressing the onboard start button on my motherboard but still nothing. So the case switch is not the defective one but the motherboard itself.

So im planning to buy a new motherboard with all other components still the same. So my question is, will my installed os with license, office programs with license and antivirus with license wont be voided if I change my motherboard? I had this question in mind because in other forums I read, changing motherboard will need a reinstallation on windows os.

"Where did it come from" simply refers to the several ways that the OS came to exist on this system.

Assuming you have the actual valid license key, you can probably do a fresh install on a new motherboard.
How to do a CLEAN installation of Windows 10

If it fails to activate, you'll probably need to call Microsoft.

This may have been helpful, but if the old board is already dead...
For the OS activation, read...

Windows10 depends on license type: if it's an OEM license, like that which comes with pre-assembled systems, it will quite likely not be able to activate after the motherboard change. But if it's a full retail license, like a boxed copy you bought in a store apart from a system, it might be perfectly fine and able to activate after the motherboard change.

Sorry my bad.
OS: windows 10 Pro
What do you mean where did it came from? I bought the installation disk in the philippines with its license written on the packaging.

What i mean is if i reinstall the os back it means i need to supply me license key again but will windows detect it as "used already"?

Thanks for that elaborate explanation! I bought a retail copy of my windows os and its product key is in its pakaging. So i guess changing motherboard doesn't harm me my windows 10 pro license. But how about my other licensed softwares such as office products and antivirus?

My os was bought separately with my hardware (custom built) and i do have the actual copy of the license key. I guess doing a fresh install is my only option here since i did not do any preparation for reactivating my os prior to my pc not turning on.
