Hi guys,

Back again with a riveting question for you all.

I am in the market for a new pair of headphones. I'm sick of dealing with corded headphones, the cords always get in the way and they keep me on a leash, IM SICK OF IT! I want to buy a mid-range pair of WIRELESS headphones, somewhere in the ball park of $50-$65. I run on WiFI internet, my router is 2 floors below me. I also have an ASUS wireless adapter card in a PCI slot, to help pick up better wifi signal. Going wired for internet isn't an option.

My question is: Will my new wireless head phones interfere with my wireless adapter card / router( which is 2 floors below me). WIll i get random internet outages becuase of my wireless headphones? I HAVE PICTURES OF MY PRODUCTS BELOW.

My Wireless Adapter Card: https://www.asus.com/us/Networking/PCEAC56/

My wireless adapter card is set up with the magnetic antennae stand on the side of my computer ( like pictured on the website) I don't screw the antennae directly to the card.

Thanks so much guys!

Impossible to say, but unlikely. One, read the reviews - see how many people mention it. I didn't see it talked about.

Two is it's a 2.4GHz device. You have 802.11ac which can operate on either 2.4GHz or 5GHz. If you're connected via 5GHz (one, I'm impressed through two floors) then you can't have interference. If you're at 2.4GHz, you probably won't because 2.4GHz just means 2.35-2.45GHz: there's a frequency range in there of 10MHz -- this can easily operate at 2.38GHz and your WiFi at 2.41GHz, eg, both are "2.4GHz" but they're on separate bands entirely.

Third is Bluetooth is also 2.4GHz; people rarely report Bluetooth <-> WiFi interference.

TBH, the only interference I've seen is with an Apple AirPlay and a microwave.

I ONLY use the 5GHz wifi connection. Everyone else in the house is on the 2.4GHz connection. Its only me on the 5GHz connection. Why is it impressive that im connected to 5GHz through 2 floors? I get about 230-300mbps too.
