I have an alienware m14xr2(don't comment on choice of product) and it runs bf3 on ultra but isn't over 25 fps when doing so. Battlefield 4 will be harder to run no doubt so is there a cheap build that will run it on ultra, i will be recording also so any help would be great.

You most likely will need to build a gaming system to play on ultra at 1080P or above. Here are some benchmarks from Alpha testing:

A "cheap" desktop will still outperform his laptop :)

It'll out perform his laptop. But not play bf4 on ultra at 1080p.

Even your alpha testing shows sli 780's was getting 70's fps? That would be one expensive system. Seeing as 1 780 is roughly $650.

The HD 7970 and GTX 770 both provide a minimum of 30 FPS in Alpha. I am sure the performance will be improved prior to release and a $650-1000 build can accommodate BF4 on Ultra at 1080P

Guess it comes down to what you consider cheap.

650-1000 is not cheap to me. Cheap in my book is 200-300 range.

But to each his own. Regardless, the OP will need to consider building a new machine.

And also there is this wonderful tool called Google, Bing, Yahoo etc. Where you can input searches such as... Benchmarks for BF4 PC. And then learn what types of systems get what type of performance. Not trying to be to much of a smart mouth but some leg work needs to be done. It's very simple.
