When I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10, WD Anywhere Backup stopped working.
What is the solution?

Hi, it appears as if WD Anywhere Backup is not compatible with Windows 10. I am assuming this after reading these pages:

Quote: "the application was released back in 2009, when Windows 10 wasn't even planned for release. Since then, no other version was released and because of that, with the installation of Windows 10, the program's functionality ceased to exist."

Quote: "This software is only supported on XP SP3, Vista and 7"

So what is the solution? If you wish to keep Windows 10...

So what is the solution? If you wish to keep Windows 10 (highly recommend) then you will have to choose another backup software.

Windows 10 comes with it's own backup software in the Control Panel. Type Win+R and type in control and press OK to open the control panel. You will see Backup and Restore (Windows 7). The reason it says "Windows 7" is because it is the same software that was used in Windows 7. Is it fully compatible with Windows 10 and can be used to backup Windows 10. Here is a quick [tutorial] on how to use it.

There are other free and paid options. Here is a list of some free backup programs: https://www.lifewire.com/free-backup-software-tools-2617964 Many people swear by AOMEI. Others like Macrium Reflect.

You might have to try a few out, or read up on the options that each one offers and find one that is similar to WD Anywhere Backup and use it.

Good luck.
