Will Nvidia rename this 300.000 GPUs?

What will be the fate for these GPU?
Is Nvidia planning to rename them as new gaming GPU instead of pricing drop?

Because I read: " excess inventory in the channel as the primary reason for new gaming GPU delay"

If it's JUST the chips, even if they average out to $200 USD each, that's 60 million dollars. NVidia could easily afford put them next to the ATARI E.T. cartridges in a landfill if they desired, if AMD or the broader market force their hand to release newer chips instead.
