I haven't been using my PC for gaming for some time and wondered if it will run PUB G and other modern games? I have 2 x water cooled 480 GTX in SLi, whatever the basic i7 was four years ago overclocked to 4.4ghz but only 6 gig of DDR3.

Well PUBG in particular has pretty much no SLI support from my understanding and a single gtx 480 is below the min requirements. It would likely run with a single 480 but not well. Some well optimized semi modern games that support SLI would likely run fine, gta v for example.

You should be able to run it at low i believe, but it wont be amazing. Honestly I'd recommend replacing both of those cards with a single moderately powerful card for better performance, lower heat, and lower noise. Literally an RX 560, 1050, or 1050 ti would spank both of those, or you could go used and pick up a GTX 780 or Radeon 7950/7970 / R9 280(x)/380(x), R9 290(x)/390(x), or GTX 970. Also you need some more RAM, at least 8GB's total, preferably 16. At least finding used DDR3 thats pretty cheap shouldn't be much of a problem.

Yeah I would consider upgrading the whole platform if you are thinking about buying high end cards like the 1080 ti.

On your current platform anything higher than a 1060 would be held back by your CPU.

I'll be honest, I had this built for me and because of the watercooling I don't really want to be swapping parts about. It is quite old but has done me well and is still all operating as it should. It was built by Scan and the build quality is amazing.
