Will open PCI slots improve or worsen air flow?

So i have 2 intake fans in front and two exhaust in the back (rear on top, and top). i have noticed i have hot spot underneath my graphics card (evga acx gtx780). my psu is mounted with fan on bottom of case so fan is facing downwards since i have holes on the bottom of the case. will my airflow improve if i open the pci slots where u mount hardware (hot air can escape thru rectangular openings) OR will it worsen (mixed airflow). i know i can add pci slot fan as an exhaust but i dont want to create vacuum since the graphics card's fans are facing down as well.

ps: i know if i open the slots the dust will get there very easy. also when touch the covers for those slots,they r very warm thats why i thought removing them would help to get rid of hot air.

It will help, especially if you combine that with adding more positive pressure in the bottom/side/front. Is that an empty fan intake slot there on the bottom next to the PSU?

yes it is. i know i can add fan there but because the case is low on the desk,it makes louder noise than other fans. and im also worried that if i have more intake fans than exhaust, the hot air will just circulate around inside the case (i still can add third exhuast fan on top though but dont want to interfere with cpu fan sucking cold air form the front)

It's ok to have more positive if you have openings such as empty PCIE slots where air can escape. My main rig is very positive but also very porous (HAF XB).

Try this:

Take the rear fan off and mount it as a bottom intake. Just see what happens.
