According to current info from MS, yes. For free, as long as you do it within one year after final release.
I've herd Microsoft will allow everyone to upgrade to windows 10, FOR FREE. But Im not sure. But on the other hand when it is released, And your PC can at lease make minimum requirements anyone can upgrade. A computer that is already running 7/8 will be able to run windows 10. But here are the minimum requirements for the preview: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/preview-faq-system-requirements-pc

And Here is the page talking about the free upgrade: http://www.pcworld.com/article/2873214/windows-10-will-be-a-free-upgrade-for-windows-7-and-8-users.html

Good Luck,
Randall

No it's free upgrade to windows 7 and 8/8.1 for the life of their machine if purchased within a year of the release date. The for year means it has to be acquired with the first year.

Costs:
All updates to Windows 10 are free.

If you purchase in the first year you won't ever have to pay for Windows 10 on that machine

If you wait till after the year and purchase there will be a cost which hasn't been announced yet but after the ontime cost updates will be free for entire life of machine.

I'm not sure how MS will do it if you need to reinstall they OS but I'm sure if you have a legal license you will get Windows 10 for free even after the year.

I will do this short, because ur messing everything.
1. a upgrade to windows 10 will be free if you have installed windows 7 or 8 on the system ONLY for the 1 year after official realise.
2. It's upgrade will be free if you have installed the windows 10, the same as on 7 or 8.
3. If you have to reainstall or install the windows after the one year it will cost you money.

Number 3 is incorrect. Once you have windows 10 on the machine you have purchased the license (whether you got it for free (within the year) or paid (after the year)).

The only time you will have to pay is if you need a new license (building a new machine) after the first year. That is a one time payment and updates are free for the life of the machine.

The key MS uses the words for the life of the machine. It doesn't even state the life of the hard drive or mobo. How u re-install MS hasn't announced.
