I have an old samsung 860 evo 500 GB, which was used with a Ryzen 7 2700x and Sapphire RX 590, can I put this SSD into a brand new PC which will have a Ryzen 5 2600 and also a RX 590 but a different brand(XFX)? Or will this cause any compatibility problems with the drivers? Thanks.

Solution
The system won't boot up at all?
Putting a drive+Os in a new system, there are 3 possible outcomes:
  1. It boots up just fine
  2. It fails completely
  3. It boots up, but you're chasing issues for weeks/months.
I've seen all 3. And #1 is the least likely to happen.

A clean install is strongly recommended, usually required.
Older Ryzen to newer Ryzen...you might get lucky. But don't count on it.

The physical drive, no problem.
If it is the OS drive, and you're expecting to just boot up in the new system...probably won't happen.

How would I go about doing a clean install? Also in this case I am going from Newer(Ryzen 7 2700x) to older(Ryzen 5 2600).
