Will putting cpu fan right above cpu hurt it/bad for it?

my case put my CPU at the very top of my case. There are two places where I can put a case fan at. My question is, can I put two cpu fans up there? because my cpu cooler is pretty friggen high and if I put another case fan above the CPU cooler it would be right above it. Same with putting a case fan in the back, if I put one in, it would be almost touching the CPU cooler because it's kind of crowded. I have a corsair spec 01 case and a cryorig h7 along with a AsRock Z97 Pro 4 motherboard. So is it bad to have those case fans really close to the cpu cooler?

If the fans are so close, it almost tells me you don't need them.

Say if you have a desktop case, and your CPU fan is blowing up toward the case slits, that's your exhaust right there. Same case, if you CPU fan blows downwards, it sucking down cool air from the top of the case, and you put another fan there to suck air out, both of those fans would be fighting each other.

Wanna post a pic and tell us what direction is the current fan(s) blowing? And why are you adding more fans? not happy with your current temps?
That is very common. Fans above and to left in build below:
