Will quicken 2000 work with xp

When installing the software disc for Quicken 2000 it will not install and says (not responding). What can I do?

You may be having a Media or drive problem. The CD in good shape, wiped off with soft cloth ?

Version 2000 will work on Vista in compatibility mode, so it should work in XP also, once you get past the not responding error. Try installing in safe mode.
