Will R7 250x run good on chinese 500w psu?

Hi,
today i bought a Msi R7 250x 1gb gddr5.I saw it has a 1x6 pin connector and my chinese psu has two four pin vga connectors ( forgot to mention it's power is around 450W to 500W, idk exactly but i know it is around there.I searched the internet and I saw an adapter form two four pin connector to 1x6 pin one.Should i buy that adapter,connect r7 250x to chinese via adapter and let it run? I want to play games like fortnite at 1080p med/high, not ultra settings without stuttering.I am scared if psu can fry the gpu.My vendor said it will be perfectly ok but i am still not believing him.

Which power supply model is it exactly?

Adapters are never a good idea to use on a power supply which hasn't the correct connectors already.

Never get cheap power supplies, these can burn down your house or just the PC where installed.

Adapters for GPU use are very rarely actually recommended, but never for a PSU that's quite literally garbage. If this "450-500W" PSU doesn't even have a PCIE connector, it's almost certainly in that category.

without stuttering? psu's power your pc. they have no effect to your fps.

Which CPU are you using and how much RAM is installed?
The 250x can handle this game you mentioned, but without knowing what other components are involved, it´s hard to say if the game will run at your preferred graphics details and resolution.
