I'm looking to buy this http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=558&item_id=072569 Sapphire R9 280x.

My system is as follows:

32gb ram
SSD
HD
2m LED lights
i7 2700k oc 4.5ghz
700 non-certified PSU from OCZ
MSI Z77a G43

Basically, I'm wondering if i have enough power or if there will be any other implications. Also i heard some of these cards need a 12v rail, I don't know what that means or how to check if my power supply has got that. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Solution
Yes but the R9 280x uses a 6pin and 6+2pin PCIe power connector while your old HD 7770 uses a single 6pin. Just make sure your power supply has 2 PCIe power cables. If it doesn't most GPU's include molex-PCIe adapters, otherwise you can just buy one. Also I don't recommend that PSU with a R9 290x. AMD recommends at least a 750 watt PSU with it and I would say at least ~50 amps on the 12v rail.
On the power supply, there should be a sticker with a table. There should be a label indicating 12V . Underneath it of next to it is a number which would be the amps. Some may have multiple 12V rails. Take a picture of it and out it here if you not sure how to read it still.

Seems to be this one [OCZ ModXtreme PRO 700w], although I will open up my case later to check if they are indeed the same.

It has 2 12v rails:
12v1@25A
12v2@25A

Load Range
+3.3V@25A; +5V@25A; +12V1@25A; +12V2@25A; -12V@0.3A; +5VSB@2.5A

So, I will take out my existing HD 7770 from the pci-e, and install the new 280x just like i did my old HD 7770? Basically i just seated it in and plugged in the PSU cable conveniently labled PCI EXPRESS. Sorry I am such an amateur.

Also, do I have enough power for a 290x?
