Will radeon 58xx saturate pcie x16?

Hi, will a single radeon 5850 or 5870 saturate pcie x16 slot or do i need a pci-e 2.0 slot?

no you dont. Judging by the specs it clearly says 158gb/s which is enough in a pci 2.0 8x or in a pci e 1.x x16. I myself reside on a pci e 1.x x16
