Will Radeon HD 4670 512MB run on 300watt power supply

i just bought this video card from newegg and i went through all the reviews and they pretty much said the same thing that this card consumes low power and could even be ran on 300watt well i was comparing it to others when i found sapphires site and it says minimum 400 watt so did i just waste some money here i sure hope not
