My pc has an athlon x2 II 250 3.0 Ghz and
an ATI Radeon 3000 graphics.. And can barely run games.

I decided to change the gpu to an Amd radeon r7 360 2gb..will it do the job?

You could possibly pull off a few of the older titles at around 50 fps, games that are slightly demanding newer than 2013 I wouldn't recommend. For example GTA V. But it's a good starter! It's not bad compared to my first setup, it was a "zoostorm" Whatever it was, had a Celeron 2.5GHz dual CPU, idek the motherboard, the psu was a some sort of 300w(250 most likely) No fans at all. I had stupidly stuck a GTX 750 Ti in there. It surprisingly worked. I'd recommend getting an RX 460, as it is a lot better than that r7, and costs nearly the same. It is also a little better for future proofing as it supports DX12 and AMD Vulkan. Unless you've already purchased it, that's the best thing for you. If you have a few extra bucks you can go for a...
You will need to fill in the gaps, please pass on your motherboard, ram, OS, PSU and chassis as well as the monitor and it's resolution while you can also mention the game titles you'd like to play on the aforementioned system. From this angle, it'll be a no but more can be said after you pass on the necessary details.

Mobo: Asus M4A78LT-M LE
Ram: 8gb
OS: Windows 10
i don't know the psu
Monitor: AOC E2070S 1600X900

Good luck!

Thanks mate!!
What about Gta iv, Stranded deep, Dirt 3 and Assassin's Creed 3?
Will i be able to run them?

Sorry for the long long reply, but yes of course all of those will run nicely.. I think. For GTA IV you are taking a big gamble since its the worlds worst optimized game, especially with low value hardware, however, it's worth the try.

Thanks a lot for that!! I am glad that you responded to my question!! When i get my gpu cause i haven't chosen yet I'll post my results

The dual core Athlon II is what will limit you. Even at 720p, some games will not run well on it. Games that are CPU dependent and made for quad cores fall in this category.

On the bright side, anything that CPU can handle will also be within the 360's abilities, so in that way it's a good match. At 900p it's even going to run better.

So what i chose to do is....i got a cheap GPU (gt 710 2gb...it's crap) to make my pc run everything better and now i will get an Fx 6350 and later i will probably get a RX 460 or a GTX 970 and i will basicly change everything on my pc including the mobo and the psu
sorry for the late reply...and thanks for the help

That's a good plan, at least everything apart from the CPU. that fx processor will bottleneck your 970 significantly, for the price you're better off getting a ryzen 5 1400. At just £150 they provide great performance and i can confirm go well with any gpu, even a 1080. I personally use this CPU and it works a treat. Pair it with a b350 motherboard if you can afford it and you can overclock that baby to 3.8 or 4GHz to get outstanding performance comparable to an old i7.

EDIT: Don't make the same mistake i did buying an old AMD cpu. It's best to buy everything now then have to buy a new mobo ram and cpu later, otherwise you'll be stuck for a long time.

Ok thanks m8
