Will RAM work for a motherboard who's supported list doesn't list it?

I currently have 4 x 2gb G.SKIL Ripjaws F3-10666CL9Q-16GBRL. I just purchased an AM3+ CPU, and am looking at either a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 or ASRock Fatal1ty 990FX Killer. My specific RAM sticks aren't listed on either motherboard's support list. While I know such lists don't list RAM that specifically don't work, rather they list RAM that specifically does work, does anyone out there have experience with this RAM / Motherboard combo?

Addendum: I purchased the Gigabyte board in January, but have since returned it because it was DOA. I'm unsure as to whether or not it was because the board itself was faulty or my specific RAM being used.

The CPU I purchased is the FX-6350. Would that cause issues with my RAM?
