Hey guys, so i recently tried installing windows xp on an old pc (pci card compatibility issuses with w7) and partway through the installation it crashed. I tried restarting and nothing shows up on the screen, not even the gigabyte logo, it's just black all the time.
Mouse and keyboard don't seem to work either. So i took out the installation CD and tried using puppy linux on it but usb flash drive is not recognized at all (usb led doesn't turn on).
After reading some other posts somewhat similar to my problem i decided resetting BIOS might help, but as i've never done this before i'd like to consult with you guys too, just to avoid making things worse.
If you have any other solution to it (beside resetting bios) please let me know.

I'm sorry, but somehow your motherboard must've died, something could have happened to it while you were doing your thing, which it might be unlikely, but not impossible tho, your last resort is to replace the motherboard I guess, it seems damaged. Did you try checking if your RAM is good and if its seated correctly and that there isn't much dust inside the system?
Didn't try resetting the jumper because i don't have the plastic thingy to go over it so i took out the battery for over half an hour and it didn't work. The motherboard doesn't seem to be dead (that beep after powerup is fine) and monitor displays "entering sleep mode". What now 🙁
