Will Restoring my Computer to Factory State revert it to Windows 7?

When I first got my computer it had Windows 7, but I recently upgraded to Windows 8. If I factory restore it, will Windows 7 become the OS or will it stay Windows 8?

Or can I just restore it without anything

You should just be able to restore it without anything. because the recovery partition is stored on the HDD itself.

Unknown. Is there a restore partition on the drive? What disks did it come with?

It just came with the standard things a new computer would, I don't quite remember, but I am in college far from home so if I needed those things I wouldnt want to restore.

And the reason I want to is because I am pretty unhappy with Windows 8 it just wasn't what I expected. It won't let me download various programs due to some .NET problem I can't solve
