Will restoring the OS solve PFN_LIST_CORRUPT problem?

I've gotten a PFN_LIST_CORRUPT error, and since then Windows 10 can't update itself. I'm seeing other signs of instability. If I do the system restore through the settings that will leave my data alone, will that be enough to solve this problem, assuming I've tested my memory and made sure that's okay?
