Hello guys.. I'm really lost right now. I want to buy RGB fans for my first PC that I built, but I don't know if my motherboard supports it.

It's ASRock Z170M Pro4S

Reading the manual didn't help as I found no mention at all of RGB. Put my PC part picker build still lists RGB fans as compatible with my build. Which is why I'm even more confused.

I want to use one of these RGB fans I think (listed as compatible on pcpartpicker):

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GSQXYMR?tag=pcpapi-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1

I read the reviews and questions on these pages already, but I don't really understand the answers as I'm brand new to PC cooling fans.

So if someone is kind enough to help me, can you make your answer as easy to understand as possible please. Thanks guys

Here's the link to my motherboard's manual.

Your motherboard seems to not have an rgb header but that does not mean you cant use rgb fans. The coolermaster triple pack you listed have an included controller but the problem will be every time you will want to change color you will have to open the case and press the buttons from the controller (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Cooler-Mas...+Master+R4-120R-20PC-R1&qid=1576150624&sr=8-2 ). If you dont want to change colors often then thats fine. Another option could be Corsair triple pack fans with node pro where you only need a usb 2.0 from your motherboard and power from the psu and you will able to control them from the Corsair software.

Thanks for that! But I originally wanted to buy just 2 (120 MM) RGB fans for exhaust purposes (since my case has holes for two exhaust areas - top and rear of the case, to show those pretty colors).

However, I didn't plan to get RGB for the intake areas (front of case and side of case) since there are probably better static pressure fans for the intake which I also want to combine with dust filters.

I had also planned to get 3 intake fans with 2 exhaust RGB fans to create a positive pressure in the case. Is that a good idea?

Anyway, what fan controller would I need to get for just two of those cooler master fans?

Ok then you can buy the 2 coolermaster fans and buy the controller separately.

As for the positive/negative pressure it depends on the case mosly.

Wow, air controller is expensive. I'll just by the three pack I guess...

Can you explain how I'd know which kind of pressure is better for my case? I read a bit about it and the gist of it seems to be that if dust is a big problem, then positive air pressure is better. But if not, then slight negative pressure might be preferable.

Hey so, if I want to get this triple pack, does it include all the wires already that I will need to make it all work? I only have 2 (4 pin) fan headers on my motherboard, so will I need a splitter? If so then how can I find the right splitter?
