Will Rust work on my PC?

Solution
The performance of the server counts of how much ping it has, 1 ping being the best and 100 being terrible I would pick a server with a ping of 20-45 for good performance if that's how you look at it

Having to restart the game every hour, that's not entirely how it works as the game is already using maximum ram when playing rust with 6gb, the recommend minimum is 8gb and then you will be fine

If I was you I would invest in 8gb ram
Short answer YES
Long answer NO

I have a RX 480 Red devil 8gb and 6gb ddr3 I could not play rust because of lag, Rust is a highly unstable game some people with 16gb ram and i7's with good graphics cards can not run the game.

what I recommend is that you buy rust is you do not already have it then think about upgrading RAM when you have the money, I now only have 8gb DDR3 but here is what I recommend for future proofing

Does game performance depend on server im playing one maybe?
i saw few gameplays with 6gb ram ,only thing people are saying that i may need to restart game every hour or so ,and i should be fine.

Recommend 3 GHz CPU, 16 GB RAM, Win 10 and Nvidia GeForce GTX 980.

8GB is the lowest recommended for a reason and even with that you are pushing 80% or more usage on low settings. I would really consider adding more RAM It gets pretty damn crash happy with just 8GB.

As delaro says 8gb ram you are pushing it he is right but it will work just fine with what you are planning on playing with, I do highest settings ddr3 8gb 1080p gaming with no problem so the 8gb will do you just right

then why on the site they say it will run on 2ghz cpu?
and im buying i3 3240.Will that help the game out?

If your board supports it I recommend an i5 over the i3. The site just list whatever it can launch.
