Hello Everyone,

I have a little cousin, for whom I want to get a new GPU for.
He has been struggling to play games like Hogwarts and RoboCop,

We are working with a
CPU :- Intel Core i5 9400F
Mobo :- Asus H310M R2.0
Ram :- 16gb of ram
GPU :- Zotac 1060 6gb Mini
Storage :- 1 HDD and 1 SSD
PSU :- Corsair VS450 Grey label (I know its trash)
Case : Cooler master Elite 311 case -No RGB - Just one exhaust fan on the case & 4 to 5 USB devices plugged in
Monitors: Got 2 HP monitors both 26" 1080p 60fps.

I am thinking of getting a RX6600 (240$ in my country), but the 450 watts have left me questioning if this will cause issues.

Please advise on this.
Regards,

I don't think 450W is going to cut it. 550-600W is more appropriate for that video card.

I was going to suggest the RTX 3050 6gb, because it requires no additional power, but after further research, it looks like it would be more of a feature upgrade, than a performance upgrade over a 6gb 1060. Performance appears to be very similar, but you would be able to use DLSS to boost the performance of the 3050, that you can't do with the 1060. You can use FSR with the 1060, though. I can't really think of anything that would give a performance uplift over a 1060, that doesn't require a more powerful PSU.

Yep! There is no point in getting the 3050 hence why I skipped that on + it's 15$ more expensive.

and the reason why I'm even considering a rx6600 is due to the 450 Minimum req on AMD's website.

Requirements
Typical Board Power (Desktop)
132 W
Minimum PSU Recommendation
450 W
https://www.amd.com/en/products/graphics/amd-radeon-rx-6600

But since the PSU here is Corsair VS450 and not a CX450 I'm hesitant to proceed.
