Will Ryzen 5 2600 fit on the B350 Gaming Pro?

I am looking to find if the Ryzen 5 2600 with its fan will fit on the MSI B350 Gaming Pro micro Atx mobo. Not just if the cpu itself fits, but the wraith cooler as well.

The CPU and cooler will fit, but you may need to do a BIOS update to get the board to work with the CPU. If you already own this board, then you should update the BIOS before your put the new CPU in. If you don't own this board, then it's luck of the draw on whether you get a newer board that already has the BIOS for the 2600, or if you will need a 1st gen Ryzen CPU to do the BIOS update.

If you get an older board with an outdated BIOS, you need a first gen Ryzen chip to do the BIOS update unless you are looking at a very high end board that can do BIOS updates without a CPU. You can take the board to a local computer store to get the update done, or you can send out for a boot kit from AMD, where they will ship you a loaner APU that can boot the old motherboard to allow you to do the BIOS Update.

If you don't have the board already, then you probably should just go with a B450 motherboard to make things easier, since those should support Ryzen 2000-series processors out of the box.
