Will single ram work on ryzen 5 1600

Ok so i already ordered the parts cpu: R5 1600 mobo: asus prime B350 plus ram: 16 gig hyper x (qvl certified) the rest i have em.Where i live is not an easy task to cancel and re order. So i am asking, since i already am waiting the parts will my pc boot with just the one 16gig stick of ram ? ( i know that dual is better i am not asking that)or i am gonna stare on black screen?
