Will sli-ing the same card from a different manufacturer affect performance?

I have this strix rog gtx 1080. my friend is switching to and rtx so his giving me his gigabyte windforce gtx 1080 I was wondering if I can sli those two cards and still get a decent performance.

Manufacturer doesn't matter. You will get good performance if you have a CPU that can keep up with the 2 cards, and if you have a PSU that can maintain sufficient power for the 2 cards. They will run at the speed of the lowest clocked card.
