So I currently have the corsair 200r and I am considering switching to the corsair 460x and I am wondering if I can expect any temp drops with my current setup. I plan on having all 6 fan slots filled and moving my CPU radiator to front intake instead of rear exhaust I also plan on using Corsair AF120s for fans as I already have them
my setup is
i7 6700k stock
Evga 120 CLC
MSI 1080Ti FE
Any input would be greatly appreciated

Currently i have the corsair 200r with 3 corsair AF120s and intake 1 corsair ML Pro 140 as exhaust and a corsair SP120 on my cpu radiator as exhaust. my temps are currenty cpu 60-70c and gpu 75-82c with fans at 90-100% i am wondering if swapping cases for better airflow would allow me to lower my gpu fan to allow a bit quiter system

Okay, I figured that was what the goal was. The case and airflow isn't the issue it is just that the FE cooler can't get the heat off the gpu fast enough. I have a case with plenty of air flow and have run the FE card and an overclocked Asus Strix card. Honestly, I would just set the FE card to stock settings. The throttling from my experience isn't really killing performance. If you overclock the FE card and add the hybrid kit you will probably average a 10% gain over the out of the box settings.
If you switched to a case with more airflow you should be able to get your 1080 Ti to run at 84c with 50% fan speed which will lower the noise a good bit. Replacing the blower style cooler with a hybrid cooler would probably be a better option that replacing the case though.

yeah im tryting to keep the FE from throttling at all though is my goal until i can afford the hybrid kit also installing the hybrid kit would void the msi warrenty even though i have one from microcenter that wont be voided
