Hello, I am wondering if my system is good enough to run ACU. I have 8GB DDR3, and i5 4670k, and a R9 280x. I've been looking forward to this game for a while now but the system requirements just came out and my system is a bit above the minimum requirements but doesn't meet the recommended. I know there have been games that say they need high hardware but have ran fine on lower end builds but it seems outrageous to say you need an i7 CPU and 290X/780 for recommended hardware. Do you think i'll be fine or should I wait for some benchmarks to come out before purchasing?

Solution
according to Ubisoft, you meet the MINIMUM requirement

according to the rest of us on the internet, you're all set to go and Ubi is full of BS

Actually, I apologize, my anger is mainly directed at ubisoft. but IMHO, you're good to go. don't worry about ubisoft's claims. One word of warning though, if those minimum requirements are event half-way legitimate, they ubisoft has done a horrendous job in porting the game to PC, and I would wait a week before buying it just for them to do some bug patching, and make sure the game actually runs

Ubisoft's spec requirements post is full of BS, and most of the PC gaming community will probably agree.

For the record, I used to run AC2 on a laptop with a Core 2 Duo and a G102M and the desktop versions of those chips just barely meet the minimum requirements.

Wait a few weeks after ACU releases before getting it.
God only knows how much Ubisoft hates PC gamers, so it's well within expectations that there will be some sort of game-breaking bug...which will most likely be in their DRM software.
