Will the 6 series work on my motherboard?

Ok so I have a socket 775 ASUS P5GD1 motherboard which uses the intel 915p chipset.. THG says something about the pentium 4 6** series not working on the "older" 775 motherboards.. so will it work on mine or not??

It'll work, the dual cores are the ones that wont work.
