Will the AMD Athlon II X4 640 bottleneck my gpu?

I recently upgraded my GPU from a radeon HD 5450 to a 6570 and someone told me that my CPU was too weak to play any modern games will this CPU be good for gaming?

it will struggle on a game like skyrim which is very cpu dependent. you would see an improvement with a cpu upgrade. i would just see how it goes, if you notice a game struggling to be playable, since your screen resolution is quite low, i would suspect the CPU.
