Will the asus 7970 heatsink fit an asus 280x board?

i have an asus 280x, the fans are very loud and looks like they are close to death, so I'm wondering if i can buy a 7970 heatsink and ans to replace the one I have,

Yes, it does say that but it is because they made it with that purpose, I'm talking about the original one, this one:

I really don't trust third party cooling systems like the ones from gelid or arctic,

i don't think there should be any problems although the dimensions seem to be a bit off

anyway, does the warranty still hold? maybe you could rma it
