Will the ASUS A88X-PRO work with a Satellite A500?

Hey Everyone
Here is the situation:
My friend asked me if I could upgrade his laptop for him and he would supply the budget.
I thought this was a great idea and I accepted. Everything has been going well except for 1 problem... My friends laptop is a Satellite A500 which is pretty old and I am not sure whether this ASUS A88X-PRO would work with it?

The machine is a laptop. You can't replace the motherboard in a laptop with a standard one; laptop motherboards are highly customized for the machine that they came in. Sorry.
