Hello!

This is my first post, so hopefully it won't be awful! I currently own a HP ENVY Phoenix 860-077na Gaming PC, and was thinking of upgrading my graphics card. The one that is installed in my computer is a GTX 970, but I was hoping to replace it with a GTX 1070 as specified in the title. Now, I have absolutely no experience with this sort of thing, so I want to ask: will this work? Is my computer compatible, is the power supply enough to handle it, and will it fit?

Here is some more information about my p.c.:

Intel® Core™ i7-6700 Processor, Quad-core, 3.4 GHz / 4.0 GHz with Turbo Boost, 8 MB cache

Solution
1st you should test it on your Current PSU i am sure it will work if not then you can go for the 600W Psu
and as for power i think its same as your current GPU 6-pin PCIe Pin
Yes it will work as the GTX 1070 will take almost same power as the GTX 970 but atleast 600W should be recommended for 1070@8GB make sure you have the PCI-E power connectors in your PSU for the GTX 1070 otherwise your specifications are campatable for the GTX 1070

Hi,

Thanks for the quick answer!
Would it be advisable for me to upgrade my power supply from 500w to 600w? Also, how do I go about checking my PCI-E connectors?

Thanks!
