PCI-E 2 slot on the mobo won't even be noticible, the cards are backward compatible, on the DRAM be better with 2x4GB and would suggest the GSkill Snipers in 1600/9 1.5, dual channel can provide up to about a 10% performance gain

They are but:

Your PCIe 2.0 motherboard will bottle neck your PCIe 3.0 graphics card. Not by much, but it will.

You'll get better performance using a dual channel kit (2x4GB=8GB) instead of just using the 1x8GB ram stick.
