Hi, I was wondering if the corsair cx 430 would be enough for my system? I have a phenom 2 X6 1090t black edition with turbo boost, with 8gb of 1333mhz RAM, a 1.5 TB Samsung Hard drive at 5400rpm, one dvd burner, and I want to be able to run an MSI twin frozer 7850 OC 2gb video card. I also want to throw in a small to medium SSD later (around 120gb). So will the CX 430 work?

Solution
For a system using a single reference design Radeon HD 7850 graphics card AMD specifies a minimum of a 500 Watt or greater power supply. The power supply should also have a maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 27 Amps or greater and have at least one 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connector. Some of the non-reference design Radeon HD 7850 graphics cards require at least two 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors.

The MSI R7850 Twin Frozr 2GD5/OC has one 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connector.

The Corsair Builder Series CX430 (75-001666 / CP-9020046-NA), with its maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 32 Amps and with one (6+2)-pin...
