Will the cpu cooler fit with my case and ram?

I have a Cooler master k350 case
An Asus b85m-g motherboard
and a single Kingston blu stick of memory

Now to the question:
- Will a Noctua NH-U9S 46.4 CFM CPU Cooler be able to fit?

Short answer: Yes.

Long answer:
Case supports CPU cooler height: 148.5mm / 5.8 inch
Noctua height (with fan): 125 mm
If your RAM stick gets into way, just put it into another slot further away of CPU cooler.

I have read somewhere that its Best putting ram Sticks in the slot closest to the CPU? Is that a myth?

That's a myth. For RAM installation, check your MoBo manual, page 1-7.

In your case, where you only have 1 RAM stick, it doesn't matter in which socket you put it. If you had 2 or more RAM sticks then you have to check the MoBo manual about RAM sticks placement.
