Will the fx 8320 bottleneck a gtx 980? i dont have the money to buy a very good cpu and gpu. so i figured out a gpu is more important in gaming. i wish intel had something overclockable in the 120-130$ price point as i favor intel but they dont. so, does this cpu bottleneck the 980 ? and is there any other cpu that is decent in this price point?

Solution
If you could stretch to putting either an intel i5 4460 or i5 4690 in your PC you wouldn't have to worry about your CPU for a long time. Here in the UK they're only £10 and £40 more, respectively. I don't know about your prices.

You'll still get great performance out of an Fx-8320 and GTX980, but in CPU intensive and newer games you are going to get CPU bottlenecking.

EDIT: You will get A LOT of bottlenecking in the games you've listed. They're all very CPU intensive. If you want 60fps at 1440p you're going to need an Intel for those games.
Depends on the game, tell us what you are going to play 😀.

EDIT: Let me clarify. You can play most games just fine, without any problems, but if you are playing a CPU heavy game, THEN you might get bottlenecked a little, most times when you build a gaming pc you invest in a high end graphics card and mediocre CPU. I wouldn´t worry too much.
My friend has a even worse cpu (fx-6300) and the same graphics card, and he has been able to play games really well. Altough he experiensed some bottlenecking in crysis 3, but not in other games I know he plays bf4 and shadow of mordor. I hope I helped.

i am playing mostly triple a titles. crysis 3, farcty 4, gta v, witcher3. i want not less than 60 fps on 1440p except for some games i know that wont be possible so i will just play it on 1080p

This is bad, you decided to list games that are REALLY heavy on your CPU. If you do not own the processor already go with Intel, you need to burn a little bit more money on the processor, but you´ll save some on the MOBO.

I wouldn't advise that for a new build. If you're having to overclock from the start to avoid bottlenecks the system isn't going to be able to play high-end games at the settings OP wants for very long. Better off biting the bullet and spending a bit more at the start to achieve better performance in the long run (and in this case, overall).

well i still dont have the cpu!! i decided i ll buy a 4690 and a 970 instead.thanks
