Will the GPU work just Fine

Hi guys

So i was looking forward to buy an RX 460 2gb for my pc and my concern is that the pc has old cpu and ddr2 RAM

Specs :
CPU - AMD phenom 8650 triple core 2.30ghz

ram - DDR2 535MHz

Motherboard- ASRock N68C-GS FX

PSU - corsair 550watts

So .....Can i game at 30fps in atleast some of the new titles in 1600x900 resolution with an RX 460 ?

Technically, it should work. But older motherboard BIOSs sometimes have issues with newer cards' UEFI BIOS. Even cards that switch automatically to a legacy BIOS. Not a satisfactory answer, I admit. But it is going to be a try-and-see situation. I have had better luck with Nvidia cards in that situation than with AMD.

I have an older Biostar A760G M2+ DDR2 board and a Phenom X3 8650 (thought I was the only one with that old CPU 😉) that runs any card I've attempted to use. But it is solely up to the motherboard's BIOS. If I had to guess if it will work on yours, I'd say yes. But no guarantees.
