Just before actually ordering the parts for my gaming pc I realized that the length of the graphics card is 325mm and the supported length of a graphics card with the drive bays in there was 294mm. It is said however that there is space for a 428mm graphics card if you remove the drive bays, how would you go about doing that?

As it turns out, after building the actual pc; the msi gtx 1080 ti gaming x trio does not really fit in the h440 case from nzxt. I managed to squeeze it in there but it is not that simple to just slide it in there from the front. The gpu is that long and wide that it manages to hit the wall while sliding it in. I had to plug the pci-e power connectors before putting the card in to actually make it fit, because otherwise you wouldn't be able to put the cables in.

Conclusion: The MSI GTX 1080 TI Gaming X Trio is not recommended to put in an h440 case for beginners. More advanced/experienced pc builders would probably not mind the hazzle too much.
