Okay so I have the GIGABYTE 78LMT-USB3 and I want to know if I can run the zotac Gtx 970 as I know I have a 2.0 PCI-E x16 I know that it would be better if I had 3 but that is not my concern, my concern is that it is a 760g chipset, so will it work and if so how much power (in percent) will I be losing. Power is not a problem as I have a 750 watt. Also my cup is an AMD 6 core processor (fx 6300)

This should work just fine and you shouldn't really lose any power to the chipset (Check out the conclusion on this: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/chipset-gpu-matching-matter,1577-8.html). Though the 2.0 PCI-E x16 slot might take a little and that could very.

''your mobo might need a BIOS update, or maybe not,''

a lot of that going around -- some guys cant get the compatibility and end up getting another type card or just getting a new build to support there new card . things aint so plug and play anymore

you buy -you try-and hope it don't make you cry-
