Will the i5-6500 bottleneck a 1080Ti?

Im planning on buying a 1080Ti FTW3 but i dont know if my cpu would bottleneck it...i mostly play shooters like cs, pubg and racing games like need for speed...im running my games on a 1080p @60Hz monitor...imo i think i wont have bottleneck since i dont play cpu intense games

Well, i5-6500 should be good to support GTX 1080 ti where of course you might have the one or the other FPS less, then with a CPU with more cores or higher frequency like the i5-8600(k).

Overall PUBG seems to be more GPU demanding, than CPU driven. Considering all the things I would probably go for a 1070 ti with the given CPU and would save some bugs for the next needed upgrade.

You are wasting a lot of money buying a 1080ti for 1080p 60hz gaming.

The gtx 1080ti is way too powerful for 60fps at 1080p, it also way too much money since soon probably the new nvidia generation will come out.
If I were you I would get a rx580/gtx 1060 or maybe a 1070. If you pay 800$ now you will regret it in a few months when newer gpus come out for 400$ with more or less the same performance as the now 800$ 1080ti.
