Will the i7-4790K CPU work out of the box with the Asrock z77 Extreme 4 motherboard?

Will the i7-4790K CPU work out of the box with the Asrock z77 Extreme 4 motherboard? I couldn't find it on pcpartpicker to see if it was compatible. Would really love to know before I order it from Amazon! =) Thanks!

No. Completely different sockets. The 4790k uses the LGA 1150 socket, where as the Z77 chipset is on the LGA 1155 socket. They are physically incompatible.

You will want a good Z97 board for the 4790k.
