Will the i7-9700k work with my motherboard?

ASUS LGA1151 DDR4 M.2 HDMI DVI USB3.0 H110 MicroATX Motherboard (H110M-A/M.2) is the name of the motherboard on amazon. Will it be compatable? Want my next upgrade to be the cpu so let me know! Thanks.

nope, 8th gen and 9th gen are LGA1151(300), not same 1151 anymore, you will need an Intel H/B/Z 3xx motherboard.

As above, no. it takes a 300 series motherboard. Also since the proposed CPU is an unlocked K processor, I would recommend a Z390 or a Z370 (with an updated BIOS) motherboard. Those would be a much better fit for overclocking the I7-9700K.

Some people hacked the Z270 bios and got a i7 9700K to work. So Intel really is just locking people out for no reason. That being said you need a new motherboard unless you like to fiddle with a unstable hacked BIOS.

A hacked Z270 BIOS would have none of the Z370 or Z390 BIOS updates. A none of the new Z370 or Z390 BIOS updates would apply to a Z270 motherboard.

Also any drivers specific to the I7-9700K processor would not apply to a Z270 motherboard.

That 1050ti is kind of good pair with I5-6500, if you like to play ultra, I will upgrade gpu first and add an ssd. Crucial MX500 or Samsung 860 evo is the best.

I play a lot of different games. Open world games like Gta v, battle royals, or pretty much anything that is very popular at the moment. Not looking to spend too much money on upgrades but im open to spending a couple hundred. I kinda wanna gradually upgrade it over time. And yes I live in the us.

Yes, as long as you update the BIOS to later than Version 2003.
